The Bosch Rexroth DR10DP7-4X/150YM/12 (R978914609) is a high-performance direct operated pressure reducing valve designed for subplate mounting with a porting pattern in accordance with DIN Form D and ISO standards. This valve is part of the component series X and is capable of handling maximum operating pressures of up to 150 bar, ensuring reliable performance in demanding applications. It has been engineered to maintain a constant level of secondary circuit pressure, which can be precisely set via an adjustment type, such as a rotary knob or threaded pin with hexagon and protective cap. In its initial open position, the DR10DP7-4X/150YM/12 allows unrestricted fluid flow from channel B to A, while simultaneously applying pressure through the control line on the piston area opposite the compression spring. When the secondary pressure exceeds the set value, the control spool moves into position to stabilize this pressure. The internal supply of signal and pilot oil via the control line from channel A enhances the responsiveness and accuracy of regulation. Should an external force increase pressure in channel A, this valve discharges excess hydraulic fluid into the tank through channel TY, preventing significant pressure rise. Furthermore, it features an external leakage oil discharge from its spring chamber via channel TY. An optional check valve can be installed for free flow return from channel A to B. The DR10DP7-4X/150YM/12 also comes with a pressure gauge connection for monitoring secondary pressure levels. With various adjustment types available—including lockable rotary knobs with scale—this valve offers flexibility for different system requirements. Its design ensures that it can be integrated seamlessly into hydraulic systems requiring precise pressure reduction and regulation capabilities.

The valve type DR 10 DP is a direct operated pressure reducing valve in 3-way version, i. e. with pressure limitation of the secondary circuit.

It is used to limit a system pressure.

The secondary pressure is set via the adjustment type (1).

The valve is open in initial position. Hydraulic fluid can flow from channel B to channel A without restrictions. The pressure in channel A is simultaneously applied via the control line (4) at the piston area opposite the compression spring (3). If the pressure in channel A exceeds the value set at the compression spring (3), the control spool (2) moves to control position and keeps the set pressure in channel A at a constant level.

Signal and pilot oil are supplied internally via the control line (4) from channel A.

If the pressure in channel A increases further due to an external force effect at the actuator, it pushes the control spool (2) even further against the compression spring (3).

In this way, channel A is connected to channel T(Y) via the control edge (5) at the control spool (2). So much hydraulic fluid is discharged into the tank that the pressure can only increase slightly.

The leakage oil discharge from the spring chamber (6) is always effected externally via channel T(Y).

For the free flow back from channel A to channel B, a check valve (7) can optionally be installed.

A pressure gauge connection (8) allows for the control of the secondary pressure.
