The Sun Hydraulics CDABABV (CDABABV) is a sophisticated hydraulic component designed for high-performance fluid control in various applications. This back-to-back check valve integrates two simple check valves into one compact cartridge, facilitating efficient connection from the work port with higher pressure to the signal or common port, with pressure sensing at port 3. The CDABABV model is distinguished by its exceptional construction quality, featuring hardened, spherically lapped guided poppets and a helical spring that's lightly stressed. These design choices ensure minimal wear and extremely low leakage rates, with maximum valve leakage specified at 5 drops per minute or 0.3 cc/min. Engineered for reliability, the CDABABV employs Sun’s floating style construction which significantly reduces the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This model is suitable for systems requiring precise fluid control without the provision to lower signals directly; it will trap a high signal if load pressures decrease. Users are advised to incorporate a means of bleeding off the signal as needed. The valve fits within a T11A cavity and belongs to Series 1, supporting a flow capacity of up to 2.5 gpm (10 L/min) and can withstand a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). Its compact form factor includes a hex size of 7/8 in (22.2 mm) and requires an installation torque between 30 – 35 lbf ft (41 – 47 Nm). Weighing just .30 lb (0.15 kg), this model is both lightweight and robust, making it an ideal choice for high-pressure applications where space and reliability are critical. Additionally, it uses Viton seals for enhanced performance under varying conditions.

The back-to-back check valve combines two simple check valves into a single cartridge. It connects the work port with the higher pressure to the signal or common port. The signal is sensed at port 3.

  • Back-to-back check cartridges feature hardened, spherically lapped, guided poppets and a lightly stressed helical spring that result in excellent wear characteristics and extremely low leakage rates.
  • The back-to-back checks do not provide a means of lowering a signal. They will trap a high signal if the load pressures drop to a lower pressure. Some means of bleeding off the signal should be provided.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
