The Sun Hydraulics CDABEBV (CDABEBV) is a back-to-back check valve that ingeniously integrates two simple check valves into a singular cartridge format. This design allows the valve to connect the work port with higher pressure to either a signal or common port, with the signal being sensed at port 3. Engineered for robust performance, the CDABEBV features hardened, spherically lapped, guided poppets alongside a lightly stressed helical spring. These elements collectively enhance wear characteristics while maintaining extremely low leakage rates—specifically, not exceeding 5 drops per minute or 0.3 cc/min at 110 SUS (24 cSt). The valve does not facilitate lowering of signals and will trap high signals if load pressures diminish to lower levels. Users are advised to implement a means of bleeding off the signal as required. Additionally, it incorporates Sun’s floating style construction which minimizes potential internal parts binding that could result from excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. The CDABEBV is designed for T11A cavity configurations and belongs to Series 1. It can handle a flow capacity up to 2.5 gpm (10 L/min) and withstands maximum operating pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar). For installation, it requires a valve hex size of 7/8 in. (22.2 mm) and an installation torque between 30 - 35 lbf ft (41 - 47 Nm). The model itself weighs about 0.30 lb (0.15 kg), and for maintenance, it utilizes a Viton seal kit under part number: 990011006.

The back-to-back check valve combines two simple check valves into a single cartridge. It connects the work port with the higher pressure to the signal or common port. The signal is sensed at port 3.

  • Back-to-back check cartridges feature hardened, spherically lapped, guided poppets and a lightly stressed helical spring that result in excellent wear characteristics and extremely low leakage rates.
  • The back-to-back checks do not provide a means of lowering a signal. They will trap a high signal if the load pressures drop to a lower pressure. Some means of bleeding off the signal should be provided.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
