The Sun Hydraulics CKCESEN (CKCESEN) is a pilot-to-open check valve that allows free flow from valve port 2 to load port 1 while blocking flow in the opposite direction. This valve features a sealed pilot and a Delrin seat, ensuring low leakage and durability in medium pressure systems prone to contamination. It is vented, making it insensitive to pressure at port 2 due to its spring chamber referencing the vent port 3. The pilot pressure required to open the valve from port 1 to port 2 is proportional to the load pressure at port 1, with a minimum pilot pressure of 15 psi (about 1 bar) higher than the vent pressure needed to prevent closure. The CKCESEN incorporates Sun's floating style construction, which minimizes internal parts binding caused by excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. It has a maximum operating pressure of 2500 psi (175 bar) and can handle capacities up to 15 gpm (60 L/min). The valve’s pilot ratio is set at approximately 3:1, meaning the area of the pilot piston is three times that of the check poppet seat area. This valve is a pilot to open check valve. It has a sealed pilot, a Delrin seat, and is vented. It allows free flow from the valve (port 2) to the load (port 1) and blocks flow in the opposite direction. Pressure at the external pilot port will open the valve from port 1 to port 2. Pilot pressure needed to open the valve is directly proportional to the load pressure at port 1. The valve is insensitive to pressure at port 2 because the spring chamber references the vent (port 3).
