The Sun Hydraulics CNDCLAV (CNDCLAV) is a high-performance, corrosion-resistant check valve designed for applications requiring reliable hydraulic flow control. This valve allows free flow from port 1 to port 2 while incorporating a customer-specified orifice to restrict flow from port 2 to port 1, ensuring precise control over fluid dynamics in hydraulic systems. The orifice range for this model spans from 0.016 inches to 0.107 inches (0.4 mm to 2.7 mm), allowing customization according to specific system requirements. Rated for a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and with a capacity up to 15 gpm (60 L/min), the CNDCLAV is suitable for robust industrial applications. The valve is designed using Sun\u2019s floating style construction which minimizes the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining, enhancing durability and reliability. The model code suffixes AP or LH indicate variants intended for use in particularly corrosive environments, further extending its applicability across different operational conditions. The specific orifice diameter selected by the customer is conveniently stamped on one of the cartridge's hex faces, facilitating easy identification and maintenance. This model also features a T13A cavity and adheres to Series 1 standards, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and ease of integration. Installation requires a torque between 30 - 35 lbf ft (41 - 47 Nm), and the valve's hex size measures at 7/8 inches (22.2 mm). For maintenance, Viton seal kits are available under part number: 990010006, supporting long-term operational stability and performance in demanding environments.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves with a bypass orifice allow free flow from port 1 to port 2. A customer specified orifice is included to restrict flow from port 2 to port 1. See technical data below for orifice range.
- Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
- Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
- Valves with the opposite flow path (free flow from 2 to 1) are considered flow controls and may be found listed as fixed orifice, non-pressure compensated flow control valve with reverse flow check.
- The customer specified orifice diameter is stamped on one of the cartridge's hex faces.
- Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
