The Sun Hydraulics CNDCXBN (CNDCXBN) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic applications requiring reliable one-way flow control. This valve features a unique design that allows free flow from port 1 to port 2, while a customer-specified orifice restricts flow from port 2 to port 1, ensuring precise control over fluid movement in hydraulic systems. The specified orifice diameter is conveniently stamped on the cartridge's hex face for easy identification. Constructed to fit the T13A cavity with a Series 1 frame size, the CNDCXBN can accommodate up to 15 gallons per minute (60 liters per minute) and withstand maximum operating pressures of up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve's orifice range spans from .016 inches to .107 inches (0.4 mm to 2.7 mm), providing flexibility in application and installation. Additionally, it features a valve hex size of 7/8 inches (22.2 mm) and requires an installation torque of between 30-35 lbf\u00b7ft (41-47 Nm). Sun Hydraulics has incorporated its floating style construction into the CNDCXBN model, which minimizes potential internal part binding caused by excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This design enhancement enhances the durability and reliability of the valve under various operational conditions. The use of Viton seals ensures optimal performance even in harsh environments, making it suitable for applications where corrosion resistance is crucial.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves with a bypass orifice allow free flow from port 1 to port 2. A customer specified orifice is included to restrict flow from port 2 to port 1. See technical data below for orifice range.
- Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
- Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
- Valves with the opposite flow path (free flow from 2 to 1) are considered flow controls and may be found listed as fixed orifice, non-pressure compensated flow control valve with reverse flow check.
- The customer specified orifice diameter is stamped on one of the cartridge's hex faces.
- Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
