The Sun Hydraulics CNDCXFN (CNDCXFN) is a high-performance check valve, designed for hydraulic applications requiring reliable, directional flow control. This model is particularly noted for its freeflow feature from port 1 to port 2, facilitated by a customer-specified bypass orifice which restricts flow in the opposite direction. The orifice range for this valve spans from 0.016 to 0.107 inches (0.4 to 2.7 mm), allowing for customization based on specific flow requirements. Constructed to withstand pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports, the CNDCXFN is suitable for high-pressure environments. Its robust design includes Sun's floating style construction which minimizes internal parts binding\u2014a common issue caused by excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This valve fits a T13A cavity and has a flow capacity of up to 15 gpm (60 L/min). Key specifications include a valve hex size of 7/8 inches (22.2 mm) and an installation torque between 30 - 35 lbf\u00b7ft (41 - 47 Nm). It uses Viton seals for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for use in corrosive environments when specified with the appropriate model code suffix such as AP or LH. The CNDCXFN is versatile enough to be used in various hydraulic circuits needing precise flow control and checks functionality under demanding conditions, ensuring operational reliability and efficiency.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves with a bypass orifice allow free flow from port 1 to port 2. A customer specified orifice is included to restrict flow from port 2 to port 1. See technical data below for orifice range.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Valves with the opposite flow path (free flow from 2 to 1) are considered flow controls and may be found listed as fixed orifice, non-pressure compensated flow control valve with reverse flow check.
  • The customer specified orifice diameter is stamped on one of the cartridge's hex faces.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
