The Sun Hydraulics CNFBXAN (CNFBXAN) is a high-performance hydraulic check valve designed for specialized industrial applications requiring precise fluid control. This model features a free-flow, nose-to-side check valve configuration with an added bypass orifice, allowing unrestricted flow from port 1 to port 2 while incorporating a customer-specified orifice to limit flow in the reverse direction. The CNFBXAN is capable of handling maximum operating pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports and supports a flow capacity of 30 gpm (120 L/min). Unique to this model is its use of Sun's deeper relief style cavity, distinguishing it from other products in Sun's check valve line by making it non-interchangeable with those that utilize standard cavities. The specified orifice diameter, critical for application-specific customization, is conveniently stamped on one of the hex faces of the cartridge for easy identification. Additionally, the CNFBXAN benefits from Sun's floating style construction which helps prevent internal component binding that can result from excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This feature ensures reliable operation and longevity even under demanding conditions. The valve's hex size is 1 1/8 inches (28.6 mm), and it requires an installation torque between 45 and 50 lbf ft (61 - 68 Nm).
