The Sun Hydraulics CNFCXAV (CNFCXAV) is a high-performance hydraulic check valve designed for rigorous industrial applications where corrosion resistance and durability are paramount. This valve facilitates free flow from port 1 to port 2, while a customer-specified orifice restricts flow in the reverse direction, from port 2 to port 1. The exact diameter of this orifice can be tailored to specific requirements and is clearly marked on one of the cartridge\u2019s hex faces for easy identification. Constructed with Sun Hydraulics' floating style design, the CNFCXAV minimizes potential internal binding that can occur due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining, ensuring reliable operation and longevity. The valve is capable of handling a maximum operating pressure of up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports, making it suitable for high-pressure applications. It has a capacity of up to 30 gpm (120 L/min) and accommodates an orifice range from .016 to .127 inches (0.4 to 3.2 mm), providing flexibility across various fluid control scenarios. Designed specifically for use in corrosive environments, certain models of this valve series are available with corrosion-resistant configurations denoted by the model code suffixes AP or LH. Installation requires a torque between 45 and 50 lbf ft (61 - 68 Nm), and the valve's hex size is standardized at 1-1/8 inches (28.6 mm). For maintenance and repairs, a Viton seal kit (990203006) is recommended to ensure continued performance and seal integrity under diverse operating conditions. This robust construction and adaptable design make the CNFCXAV an essential component for systems requiring precise fluid control with reliable check functionality in corrosive settings.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves with a bypass orifice allow free flow from port 1 to port 2. A customer specified orifice is included to restrict flow from port 2 to port 1. See technical data below for orifice range.
- Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
- Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
- Valves with the opposite flow path (free flow from 2 to 1) are considered flow controls and may be found listed as fixed orifice, non-pressure compensated flow control valve with reverse flow check.
- The customer specified orifice diameter is stamped on one of the cartridge's hex faces.
- Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
