The Sun Hydraulics CNFEXCV (CNFEXCV) is a versatile and robust hydraulic valve designed for high-performance applications requiring reliable flow control. This spring-biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge valve features a bypass orifice whose diameter can be specified by the customer, allowing for customization to specific system requirements. The valve's operation allows flow from port 1 to port 2 while restricting flow in the reverse direction, with the added capability of being influenced by pressure at a pilot port (port 3). The nominal pilot ratio of 1.8:1 indicates that a pressure differential is maintained between the ports, ensuring that the valve operates effectively under varying pressures. The CNFEXCV incorporates hardened steel seats which provide excellent wear characteristics and high tolerance to contamination, enhancing the valve's durability and lifespan in challenging environments. It is designed with Sun's floating style construction which minimizes internal part binding due to installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations, thus ensuring consistent performance and reducing maintenance needs. This model fits within a T2A cavity and supports a maximum flow capacity of 40 gpm (160 L/min). The allowable range for the bypass orifice spans from 0.016 to 0.127 inches (0.4 to 3.2 mm), giving flexibility in application use. Key installation metrics include a hex size of 1-1/8 inches (28.6 mm) and an installation torque between 45-50 lbf\u00b7ft (61-68 Nm). Additionally, it uses Viton seals for enhanced chemical resistance and durability under various operating conditions. Overall, the Sun Hydraulics CNFEXCV is engineered for precision control in hydraulic systems where reliability and customization are critical to system performance.

This valve is a spring biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge with a bypass orifice. It incorporates a steel seat and is non-vented. The valve allows flow from port 1 to port 2 and restricts flow from port 2 to port 1. Pressure at the pilot (port 3) opposes pressure at port 1 at a ratio of 1.8:1. Pressure at port 2 directly opposes the pilot pressure. Note: The bypass orifice diameter is specified by the customer. See Technical Data below for the allowable orifice range.
- Features hardened steel seats for excellent wear characteristics and contamination tolerance.
- Nominal pilot ratio is 1.8:1. This means that a pressure of 1000 psi (70 bar) at the pilot port will close a valve against a pressure of 1800 psi (125 bar) at port 1. Any decay or loss of pilot pressure could allow the valve to open, even if it is a momentary decay or loss.
- Pressure at the port 2 area directly opposes pilot pressure.
- With equal pressures at all ports the valve is closed.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
