The Sun Hydraulics CNFEXFV (CNFEXFV) is a high-performance hydraulic valve designed for precision fluid control in various applications. This spring-biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge valve features a bypass orifice, which can be specified by the customer within an allowable range of 0.016 to 0.127 inches (0.4 to 3.2 mm). It operates by allowing fluid flow from port 1 to port 2 while restricting flow in the reverse direction, with the flow dynamics influenced by pressures at ports and the pilot port. The CNFEXFV is distinguished by its hardened steel seats that offer superior wear characteristics and tolerance to contamination, ensuring long service life and reliability even under harsh conditions. The nominal pilot ratio of 1.8:1 facilitates effective pressure management; for instance, a pressure of 1000 psi at the pilot port will close the valve against a pressure of 1800 psi at port 1. This precise control mechanism makes it suitable for applications where fluid flow must be meticulously managed. In terms of construction, the valve incorporates Sun\u2019s floating style design which minimizes internal parts binding due to installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining, enhancing operational stability and performance consistency. With a capacity of up to 40 gpm (160 L/min), and installation torque requirements between 45 - 50 lbf ft (61 - 68 Nm), this valve is both robust and versatile for various hydraulic systems. Furthermore, the CNFEXFV's design ensures that with equal pressures at all ports, the valve remains closed, providing an additional layer of safety and efficiency in fluid control operations. This feature, combined with its technical specifications and build quality, positions the CNFEXFV as an essential component for specialized hydraulic applications requiring precise flow regulation and high reliability.

This valve is a spring biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge with a bypass orifice. It incorporates a steel seat and is non-vented. The valve allows flow from port 1 to port 2 and restricts flow from port 2 to port 1. Pressure at the pilot (port 3) opposes pressure at port 1 at a ratio of 1.8:1. Pressure at port 2 directly opposes the pilot pressure. Note: The bypass orifice diameter is specified by the customer. See Technical Data below for the allowable orifice range.
- Features hardened steel seats for excellent wear characteristics and contamination tolerance.
- Nominal pilot ratio is 1.8:1. This means that a pressure of 1000 psi (70 bar) at the pilot port will close a valve against a pressure of 1800 psi (125 bar) at port 1. Any decay or loss of pilot pressure could allow the valve to open, even if it is a momentary decay or loss.
- Pressure at the port 2 area directly opposes pilot pressure.
- With equal pressures at all ports the valve is closed.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
