The Sun Hydraulics CNHCXCN (CNHCXCN) is a precision-engineered check valve designed to ensure efficient hydraulic operations across various applications. This model features a free flow from port 1 to port 2, with a customer-specified orifice that restricts flow from port 2 to port 1, allowing for controlled operation and flow management in hydraulic systems. The valve is capable of handling a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi or 350 bar at both ports, making it suitable for high-pressure applications. Constructed with corrosion-resistant materials, the CNHCXCN valve is ideal for use in environments where corrosion could pose a problem. The model's robust design includes Sun Hydraulics' floating style construction which minimizes the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This design feature ensures long-term reliability and maintenance ease. With a capacity of up to 60 gpm (240 L/min), the CNHCXCN can handle significant flow rates, making it versatile for various industrial applications. The valve's orifice range spans from .016 to .252 inches (0.4 to 6.4 mm), providing flexibility in application-specific hydraulic control. Installation specifications include a valve hex size of 1-1/4 inches (31.8 mm) and an installation torque range of 150-160 lbf-ft (203-217 Nm). Additionally, the model uses Viton seals for enhanced durability and performance under varying environmental conditions. This specific model employs direct acting functionality, which is crucial for preventing overpressure and ensuring stable operation within hydraulic circuits. Its design and construction make it an essential component for systems requiring reliable and precise fluid control.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves with a bypass orifice allow free flow from port 1 to port 2. A customer specified orifice is included to restrict flow from port 2 to port 1. See technical data below for orifice range.
- Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
- Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
- Valves with the opposite flow path (free flow from 2 to 1) are considered flow controls and may be found listed as fixed orifice, non-pressure compensated flow control valve with reverse flow check.
- The customer specified orifice diameter is stamped on one of the cartridge's hex faces.
- Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
