The Sun Hydraulics CNJEXBV (CNJEXBV) is a high-performance hydraulic valve designed for precise flow control in hydraulic systems. This spring-biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge valve features a bypass orifice that can be specified by the customer, accommodating a range of orifice diameters from 0.016 inches to 0.354 inches (0.4 mm to 9 mm). The valve is engineered with hardened steel seats, enhancing its durability and resistance to wear and contamination. The CNJEXBV operates with a nominal pilot ratio of 1.8:1, meaning that it requires a pilot pressure of 1000 psi (70 bar) to counteract a pressure of 1800 psi (125 bar) at port 1, ensuring reliable operation even under varying pressure conditions. It allows fluid flow from port 1 to port 2 while restricting flow in the reverse direction, with pressure at port 2 directly opposing the pilot pressure. This configuration helps maintain stability and control within the hydraulic system. This model incorporates Sun's floating style construction which minimizes potential internal parts binding due to installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining, thus ensuring consistent performance and longevity. The valve is suitable for applications requiring precise control such as in mobile hydraulics and industrial machinery. For installation, the CNJEXBV fits into a T19A cavity and supports a maximum flow capacity of 160 gpm (610 L/min). It requires an installation torque between 350 - 375 lbf ft (474 - 508 Nm), ensuring secure fitting without over-tightening. Additionally, Viton seal kits are available for this model under part number: 990019006, further enhancing its operational reliability and compatibility with various hydraulic fluids.

This valve is a spring biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge with a bypass orifice. It incorporates a steel seat and is non-vented. The valve allows flow from port 1 to port 2 and restricts flow from port 2 to port 1. Pressure at the pilot (port 3) opposes pressure at port 1 at a ratio of 1.8:1. Pressure at port 2 directly opposes the pilot pressure. Note: The bypass orifice diameter is specified by the customer. See Technical Data below for the allowable orifice range.
- Features hardened steel seats for excellent wear characteristics and contamination tolerance.
- Nominal pilot ratio is 1.8:1. This means that a pressure of 1000 psi (70 bar) at the pilot port will close a valve against a pressure of 1800 psi (125 bar) at port 1. Any decay or loss of pilot pressure could allow the valve to open, even if it is a momentary decay or loss.
- Pressure at the port 2 area directly opposes pilot pressure.
- With equal pressures at all ports the valve is closed.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
