The Sun Hydraulics CNJEXDN (CNJEXDN) is a sophisticated hydraulic check valve designed for high-performance applications where flow control and pressure regulation are critical. This spring-biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge features a bypass orifice, allowing customization based on specific customer requirements. The valve facilitates flow from port 1 to port 2 while restricting flow in the opposite direction, ensuring efficient operation in hydraulic circuits. Featuring hardened steel seats, the CNJEXDN offers exceptional wear resistance and contamination tolerance, making it suitable for challenging industrial environments. The nominal pilot ratio of 1.8:1 indicates that a pilot pressure of 1000 psi can close the valve against a higher pressure of 1800 psi at port 1, highlighting its robust closure capabilities. This feature is particularly useful in applications where maintaining a specific pressure differential is necessary for operational safety and efficiency. The valve's design includes Sun's floating style construction which minimizes internal parts binding\u2014a common issue caused by excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This ensures reliable and consistent performance even under varying installation conditions. Technical specifications for the CNJEXDN include a maximum capacity of 160 gpm (610 L/min), with an adjustable orifice range from .016 to .354 inches (0.4 to 9 mm), providing flexibility in application use. The valve requires an installation torque between 350 and 375 lbf.ft (474 to 508 Nm), ensuring secure fitting without compromising the integrity of the hydraulic system. Overall, the Sun Hydraulics CNJEXDN valve is engineered to meet rigorous demands of controlling fluid flow and pressure in hydraulic systems, ensuring reliability and performance consistency across various industrial applications.

This valve is a spring biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge with a bypass orifice. It incorporates a steel seat and is non-vented. The valve allows flow from port 1 to port 2 and restricts flow from port 2 to port 1. Pressure at the pilot (port 3) opposes pressure at port 1 at a ratio of 1.8:1. Pressure at port 2 directly opposes the pilot pressure. Note: The bypass orifice diameter is specified by the customer. See Technical Data below for the allowable orifice range.
- Features hardened steel seats for excellent wear characteristics and contamination tolerance.
- Nominal pilot ratio is 1.8:1. This means that a pressure of 1000 psi (70 bar) at the pilot port will close a valve against a pressure of 1800 psi (125 bar) at port 1. Any decay or loss of pilot pressure could allow the valve to open, even if it is a momentary decay or loss.
- Pressure at the port 2 area directly opposes pilot pressure.
- With equal pressures at all ports the valve is closed.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
