The Sun Hydraulics COBABEV (COBABEV) is a spring-biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge valve with a 3:1 pilot ratio, designed to allow flow from port 1 to port 2 while blocking reverse flow. The valve\u2019s operational mechanism ensures that pressure at the pilot port effectively opposes pressure at port 1 in a 3:1 ratio, meaning that a pressure of 1000 psi at the pilot port can close the valve against a pressure of 3000 psi at port 1. This feature is particularly useful in regeneration circuits where such control is necessary. Constructed for durability and reliability, the COBABEV incorporates hardened steel seats which provide excellent wear characteristics and tolerance to contamination. It also features Sun's floating style construction which minimizes internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. The valve has a maximum operating pressure capacity of 5000 psi and can handle flows up to 10 gpm. For systems utilizing phosphate ester fluids, cartridges configured with EPDM seals are recommended; however, these should not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids as they can damage the seals.
