The Sun Hydraulics COBAXEN (COBAXEN) is a spring-biased closed, pilot-to-close check cartridge valve with a 3:1 pilot ratio, designed to allow flow from port 1 to port 2 while blocking reverse flow. This valve is primarily utilized in regeneration circuits, leveraging its ability to handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) and a flow capacity of 10 gpm (40 L/min). The COBAXEN features hardened steel seats enhancing its wear characteristics and contamination tolerance, making it robust for demanding applications. The valve's design ensures that pressure at the pilot port effectively opposes the pressure at port 1 with a nominal pilot ratio of 3:1. This means that a pressure of 1000 psi at the pilot can close the valve against a pressure of up to 3000 psi at port 1. Installation specifications include a hex size of 3/4 inch (19.1 mm) and an installation torque between 20 and 25 lbf ft (27 -33 Nm).
