The Sun Hydraulics CODLXBV (CODLXBV) is a precision-engineered hydraulic valve designed for high-performance applications requiring robust control and reliability. This model, part of the T11A series, offers a nominal pilot ratio of 1.8:1, enabling it to close a valve against higher pressures effectively. Specifically, with a pilot pressure of 1000 psi at the pilot port, it can close against a pressure of 1800 psi at port 1. The valve is designed to remain closed with equal pressures at all ports and incorporates Sun's floating style construction which minimizes internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. The CODLXBV has a maximum operating pressure limit of 5000 psi and supports flow capacities up to 20 gpm (80 L/min). It ensures minimal leakage with maximum valve leakage specified at just about one drop per minute. The robust design includes a hex size of 7/8 inches for secure installation, requiring an installation torque between 30-35 lbf ft. Weighing just .30 lb, this model is both compact and lightweight, facilitating ease of integration into various hydraulic systems without compromising on strength or efficiency. Moreover, the valve's design ensures that reverse flow from port 2 to port 1 is not possible under any condition, enhancing its operational safety and reliability in critical applications. The CODLXBV is equipped with Viton seals for enhanced durability and performance under varying environmental conditions. This model is well-suited for applications where precise hydraulic flow control is essential and where system integrity must be maintained even under momentary fluctuations in pilot pressure.

The CODA has been upgraded so that there is no physical difference from the CODL.
- Nominal pilot ratio is 1.8:1. This means that a pressure of 1000 psi (70 bar) at the pilot port will close a valve against a pressure of 1800 psi (125 bar) at port 1. Any decay or loss of pilot pressure could allow the valve to open, even if it is a momentary decay or loss.
- Pressure at the port 2 area directly opposes pilot pressure.
- Reverse flow through the valve from port 2 to port 1 is not possible under any condition.
- With equal pressures at all ports the valve is closed.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
