The Sun Hydraulics CXBMXCN (CXBMXCN) is a high-performance hydraulic check valve designed for precision fluid control in various hydraulic systems. This model is an insert-style valve, specifically crafted to be integrated seamlessly into manifolds or actuators, ensuring a compact and efficient assembly. It features a free flow from inlet port 1 to outlet port 2 while blocking flow in the reverse direction, making it ideal for applications requiring unidirectional flow control. The CXBMXCN operates under a maximum pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports and is capable of handling a flow capacity of up to 10 gpm (40 L/min). Its design includes Sun's floating style construction which reduces the risk of internal parts binding due to installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining, thereby enhancing reliability and performance longevity. The valve exhibits exceptionally low leakage rates, less than 1 drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), which is crucial for maintaining system efficiency and preventing fluid loss. For environments using phosphate ester fluids, cartridges configured with EPDM seals are recommended; however, these should not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids as they can degrade the seals. The CXBMXCN requires an installation torque between 20 - 25 lbf.ft (27 - 33 Nm) and has an internal hex size of 5/16 in. (8 mm). Weighing only about 0.20 lb (0.10 kg), this model combines lightweight characteristics with robust performance specifications tailored for demanding hydraulic applications.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • This valve is what we call an Insert style. It is meant to be buried in a manifold or actuator. The cavity drawing for the T-162DP cavity contains a lot of detailed information and should be studied closely when applying this valve.
  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
