The Sun Hydraulics CXCDLAN (CXCDLAN) is a two-port sidetonose check valve designed to facilitate free flow from the inlet port 2 to the outlet port 1 while blocking flow in the opposite direction. This model is particularly useful in circuit correction applications, providing a solution when manifold drillings are incorrect, thus acting as a circuit saver. The CXCDLAN showcases a capacity of approximately 30% less than models with a nose-to-side flow path, which is typical for this type of valve configuration. Constructed with Sun's floating style, the CXCDLAN minimizes potential internal part binding that can occur due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This design feature ensures reliable operation and longevity of the valve under varying operational conditions. The valve can handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports and maintains extremely low leakage rates, with maximum leakage specified at less than one drop per minute (0.07 cc/min). With its compact frame size fitting the T-13A cavity and requiring an installation torque between 30 - 35 lbf ft (41 - 47 Nm), the CXCDLAN is both easy to install and maintain. Its hex size is 7/8 in (22.2 mm) and it weighs only about 0.20 lb (0.10 kg), making it lightweight yet robust for various applications requiring precise fluid control in hydraulic systems. The model also supports Viton seal kits for enhanced performance under diverse conditions, ensuring it meets stringent operational standards typical within Sun Hydraulics' product range.

Free-flow, side-to-nose check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 2) to the outlet (port 1) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • These check valves are considered circuit savers for existing circuits where manifold drillings are incorrect. The capacity of side-to-nose (port 2 to port 1) 2-port check valves is approximately 30% less than preferred models with a nose-to-side (port 1 to port 2) flow path.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
