The Sun Hydraulics CXCELEV (CXCELEV) is a versatile hydraulic check valve designed for high-pressure applications, capable of handling up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2. This model is particularly suited for systems requiring a reliable check valve in a three-port cavity configuration, with port 3 blocked off. The CXCELEV features Sun's innovative floating style construction, which minimizes the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. With a maximum flow capacity of 15 gpm (60 L/min), the CXCELEV ensures efficient operation across various hydraulic systems. It boasts an exceptionally low leakage rate, less than one drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), making it ideal for applications where fluid conservation and system integrity are critical. The valve's hex size is 7/8 in. (22.2 mm), and it requires an installation torque between 30 - 35 lbf ft (41 - 47 Nm), ensuring easy installation and secure fitting. This model, weighing only .20 lb (0.10 kg), is also designed to be corrosion-resistant, suitable for use in environments where corrosive elements are present. The seal kit for this cartridge uses Viton materials (990011006) to ensure durability and resistance against various fluids and temperatures, enhancing the valve's overall reliability and lifespan in challenging operating conditions.

Free-flow, side-to-nose cheater check valves function as a standard 2-port check valve in a 3-port cavity with port 3 of the cartridge blocked off. These valves are useful in circuits where a check valve is required in an existing three port cavity.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
