The Sun Hydraulics CXCELZN (CXCELZN) is a versatile hydraulic check valve designed for high-pressure applications up to 5000 psi (350 bar). This model features a unique sidetonose cheater check valve configuration, typically used in circuits requiring a check valve in a three-port cavity with one port blocked. The CXCELZN operates efficiently within a T11A cavity and is compatible with flow rates up to 15 gpm (60 L/min). One of its standout features is the extremely low maximum leakage rate of less than one drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), ensuring minimal fluid loss and enhanced system efficiency. Constructed to withstand corrosive environments, the CXCELZN utilizes Sun's floating style construction which helps prevent internal parts from binding\u2014a common issue caused by excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. This design feature contributes significantly to the reliability and longevity of the valve under various operating conditions. The valve also supports easy installation with a hex size of 7/8 in. (22.2 mm) and an installation torque range of 30 - 35 lbf\u00b7ft (41 - 47 Nm). Weighing just 0.20 lb (0.10 kg), it is lightweight yet robust, making it an ideal choice for mobile and industrial applications requiring precise fluid control with minimal maintenance.

Free-flow, side-to-nose cheater check valves function as a standard 2-port check valve in a 3-port cavity with port 3 of the cartridge blocked off. These valves are useful in circuits where a check valve is required in an existing three port cavity.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
