The Sun Hydraulics CXDAKBN (CXDAKBN) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic applications requiring reliable, one-way flow control. This model facilitates free flow from the inlet port 1 to the outlet port 2 while effectively blocking flow in the reverse direction, ensuring operational security and efficiency in hydraulic systems. The CXDAKBN is capable of handling a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports, making it suitable for high-pressure applications. With a flow capacity of up to 20 gpm (80 L/min), this valve meets the demands of various hydraulic circuits without compromising performance. It features an exceptionally low leakage rate, less than one drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), which minimizes fluid loss and maintains system integrity. The valve's construction includes EPDM seals specifically chosen for compatibility with phosphate ester fluids; however, these seals must not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids as they can cause damage. The CXDAKBN employs Sun Hydraulics' floating style construction which reduces the risk of internal parts binding—a common issue caused by excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This model fits within a T13A cavity and requires an installation torque between 30 – 35 lbf·ft (41 – 47 Nm). Its compact design results in a minimal weight of only 0.20 lb (0.10 kg), facilitating ease of installation and maintenance without adding significant bulk to the system setup. Overall, the Sun Hydraulics CXDAKBN check valve is an essential component for designers and engineers looking to enhance system reliability and performance in corrosive environments or applications involving phosphate ester-based fluids. Its robust design and precision engineering ensure long-term functionality and optimal hydraulic system performance.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.
- Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
- Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
- Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
- Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
- Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
