The Sun Hydraulics CXDAKBV (CXDAKBV) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic systems requiring reliable, one-way flow control. Ideal for applications where free flow from the inlet port 1 to the outlet port 2 is necessary, this model blocks flow in the reverse direction, ensuring operational integrity and preventing backflow. The CXDAKBV features a T13A cavity and belongs to the Series 1 lineup, capable of handling a maximum capacity of 20 gpm (80 L/min) and withstanding pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar). This valve is characterized by its extremely low leakage rate, which does not exceed 1 drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), making it suitable for systems where minimal fluid loss is critical. It incorporates Sun\u2019s floating style construction that minimizes internal parts binding\u2014a common issue resulting from excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This design enhances the overall durability and reliability of the valve. The model also comes with an option for EPDM seals specifically configured for use with phosphate ester fluids; however, these seals must not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids as they could be damaged. For environments prone to corrosion, variants of this valve are available with corrosion-resistant configurations denoted by suffixes AP or LH in the model code. With its robust design and flexibility in seal options, the CXDAKBV is adept at fulfilling the requirements of various hydraulic systems while maintaining a compact footprint (weighing only 0.20 lb/0.10 kg). Installation requires a specific torque range between 30 - 35 lbf.ft (41 - 47 Nm) using a valve hex size of 7/8 in. (22.2 mm), ensuring secure and straightforward integration into existing setups.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
