The Sun Hydraulics CXDAKCN (CXDAKCN) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic systems requiring reliable, one-way flow control. This model facilitates free flow from the inlet port 1 to the outlet port 2 while effectively blocking flow in the reverse direction, ensuring efficient operation in various hydraulic applications. The CXDAKCN model is distinguished by its extremely low leakage rate, less than 1 drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), making it ideal for systems where minimal fluid loss is critical. Constructed to handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports, this valve can accommodate up to 20 gpm (80 L/min) of fluid capacity, suitable for robust industrial applications. Its compatibility with EPDM seals makes it specifically applicable for use with phosphate ester fluids, although these seals must not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids which could cause damage. The CXDAKCN model incorporates Sun's floating style construction which minimizes the risk of internal parts binding\u2014a common issue caused by excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This feature enhances the valve's operational reliability and longevity. The valve has a hex size of 7/8 inch (22.2 mm) and requires an installation torque between 30 - 35 lbf ft (41 - 47 Nm). Weighing just .20 lb (0.10 kg), it is a compact yet robust component suitable for various demanding environments where corrosion resistance and durability are paramount.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
