The Sun Hydraulics CXDAKDV (CXDAKDV) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic applications requiring reliable, one-way flow control. This model supports a free flow from inlet port 1 to outlet port 2 while effectively blocking flow in the reverse direction, ensuring operational integrity in hydraulic circuits. The CXDAKDV is engineered to handle maximum pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports, making it suitable for high-pressure systems. The valve features a T13A cavity and is part of the Series 1 lineup from Sun Hydraulics, with a flow capacity of up to 20 gpm (80 L/min). It boasts an exceptionally low leakage rate, less than 1 drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), which contributes to its efficiency and minimizes fluid loss in critical applications. The model is constructed with Sun\u2019s floating style design which reduces the risk of internal parts binding due to installation torque or machining variations of the cavity/cartridge. For environments involving corrosive substances, specific configurations of the CXDAKDV are available with enhanced corrosion resistance identified by suffixes AP or LH in the model code. Additionally, this valve model can be equipped with EPDM seals for compatibility with phosphate ester fluids; however, these seals must not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids as they could degrade. The physical specifications include a hex size of 7/8 inches (22.2 mm) and an installation torque ranging between 30 \u2013 35 lbf\u00b7ft (41 \u2013 47 Nm). The unit's weight is minimal at approximately 0.20 lb (0.10 kg), facilitating easy integration into various setups without adding significant bulk.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
