The Sun Hydraulics CXDAKFN (CXDAKFN) is a highly efficient and reliable hydraulic check valve designed for on-off circuit applications. This valve permits free flow from the inlet port 1 to the outlet port 2 while blocking flow in the opposite direction, ensuring operational precision in hydraulic systems. The CXDAKFN model is compatible with a T13A cavity and belongs to the Series 1, offering a maximum capacity of 20 gpm (80 L/min) and can withstand a maximum operating pressure of up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve features an exceptionally low leakage rate, limited to less than one drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), which promotes system efficiency and reduces fluid loss. It is crafted with EPDM seals specifically for use with phosphate ester fluids; however, these seals must not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids as this would cause damage. The corrosion-resistant variants of this valve model are particularly suited for corrosive environments, marked by the suffix AP or LH in their model codes. Sun Hydraulics has incorporated its floating style construction into the CXDAKFN check valve. This design minimizes potential internal parts binding that could result from excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining, enhancing durability and reliability. The valve's hex size is 7/8 inches (22.2 mm), and it requires an installation torque of between 30 - 35 lbf\u00b7ft (41 - 47 Nm). Weighing just 0.20 lb (0.10 kg), this compact yet robust valve integrates seamlessly into various hydraulic setups without adding significant weight or complexity.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
