The Sun Hydraulics CXDALAE (CXDALAE) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic applications requiring reliable, one-way flow control. This model features a free-flow direction from inlet port 1 to outlet port 2, with an extremely low leakage rate of less than 1 drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), ensuring efficient operation and minimal fluid loss. The CXDALAE can handle a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports, making it suitable for high-pressure systems. Constructed to fit the T13A cavity and belonging to Series 1, this valve has a flow capacity of up to 20 gpm (80 L/min). It is engineered with Sun's floating style construction which reduces the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This feature enhances the durability and reliability of the valve under various installation conditions. The CXDALAE is equipped with EPDM seals specifically for use with phosphate ester fluids; however, it is important to note that these seals are not compatible with petroleum-based fluids, greases, and lubricants as exposure can cause damage. For environments prone to corrosion, cartridges configured with model code suffixes AP or LH should be considered as they are designed for enhanced corrosion resistance. This model requires an installation torque between 30 - 35 lbf ft (41 - 47 Nm) and has a compact weight of 0.20 lb (0.10 kg), facilitating easy handling and installation in space-constrained setups. The valve's hex size is 7/8 in. (22.2 mm), standardizing its integration into existing hydraulic systems without the need for specialized tools or adaptations.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
