The Sun Hydraulics CXDALDN (CXDALDN) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic applications requiring reliable, one-way flow control. This model features a nosetoside configuration, facilitating free flow from inlet port 1 to outlet port 2 while blocking reverse flow. It is designed to fit the T13A cavity and is part of Sun Hydraulics' Series 1. With a capacity of up to 20 gpm (80 L/min) and a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar), the CXDALDN valve is suitable for high-pressure systems. The valve ensures minimal leakage, with a maximum rate of less than one drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), thereby enhancing system reliability and efficiency. The construction includes Sun's floating style design, which minimizes internal parts binding\u2014a common issue caused by excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This feature ensures consistent performance and longevity of the valve under various operational conditions. For ease of installation, the valve has a hex size of 7/8 in (22.2 mm) and requires an installation torque between 30 - 35 lbf.ft (41 - 47 Nm). The lightweight design, weighing just .20 lb (0.10 kg), allows for easy handling and integration into existing systems without significant modifications. This model uses Viton seals as indicated by the seal kit/cartridge information provided with the product; however, it's important to note that cartridges configured with EPDM seals are specifically intended for use with phosphate ester fluids and should not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids to avoid damage. For environments prone to corrosion, variants with AP or LH suffixes in the model code provide additional resistance, ensuring durable performance even under challenging conditions.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
