The Sun Hydraulics CXDALEN (CXDALEN) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic applications requiring reliable, one-way flow control. This model features the T13A cavity and adheres to the Series 1 configuration, ensuring compatibility with standard hydraulic systems. The CXDALEN allows free flow from inlet port 1 to outlet port 2 while blocking reverse flow, making it an ideal choice for circuits where unidirectional flow is critical. With a capacity of 20 gpm (80 L/min) and a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar), this valve is suited for high-pressure environments. The check valve boasts an exceptionally low leakage rate, less than one drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), which enhances system efficiency and reduces fluid loss. It is constructed using Sun\u2019s floating style design, minimizing internal parts binding and ensuring smooth operation even under varying installation torques or cavity/cartridge machining discrepancies. The CXDALEN valve accepts EPDM seals specifically for use with phosphate ester fluids; however, these seals must not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids as they could be damaged. For applications in corrosive environments, corrosion-resistant cartridge options are available, indicated by specific model code suffixes AP or LH. This versatility makes the CXDALEN suitable for a wide range of industrial applications where environmental conditions vary. Installation requirements include a hex size of 7/8 inches (22.2 mm) and an installation torque between 30 \u2013 35 lbf ft (41 \u2013 47 Nm). The valve itself weighs approximately 0.20 lb (0.10 kg), allowing for easy handling and integration into existing systems without significant weight implications.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
