The Sun Hydraulics CXDALZN (CXDALZN) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic systems requiring reliable, unidirectional flow control. This model incorporates a free flow from inlet port 1 to outlet port 2, while effectively blocking flow in the reverse direction, ensuring operational security and efficiency. The CXDALZN is built to accommodate a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports and supports a flow capacity of up to 20 gpm (80 L/min). It features an extremely low leakage rate, less than one drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), making it an ideal choice for systems where minimal fluid loss is critical. The valve's construction includes EPDM seals specifically designed for use with phosphate ester fluids; however, exposure to petroleum-based fluids should be avoided as it can damage the seals. Its robust design incorporates Sun’s floating style construction which minimizes internal parts binding—a common issue caused by excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This model uses a T13A cavity and conforms to Series 1 specifications. Additionally, the CXDALZN check valve is straightforward to install with a hex size of 7/8 in. (22.2 mm) and requires an installation torque between 30 – 35 lbf.ft (41 – 47 Nm). Weighing only 0.20 lb (0.10 kg), this compact valve integrates seamlessly into various hydraulic circuits without adding significant weight or complexity. The CXDALZN model is particularly suited for applications where space and weight are critical factors, providing reliable performance in a compact, efficient design.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

• Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
• Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
• Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
• Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
• Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
• Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
