The Sun Hydraulics CXDALZV (CXDALZV) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic applications requiring reliable, one-directional flow. This model features a free-flow design from the inlet port 1 to the outlet port 2, effectively blocking reverse flow and ensuring operational efficiency and safety. The CXDALZV supports a maximum operating pressure of up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports, making it suitable for high-pressure systems. This valve boasts an impressive low leakage rate of less than one drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), which minimizes fluid loss and maintains system integrity. It is built to fit the T13A cavity and adheres to Series 1 specifications, with a flow capacity of up to 20 gpm (80 L/min). Installation is facilitated by its standard valve hex size of 7/8 in. (22.2 mm), and it requires an installation torque between 30 - 35 lbf\u00b7ft (41 - 47 Nm). For environments involving phosphate ester fluids, cartridges with EPDM seals are recommended; however, these should not be used with petroleum-based fluids as they can damage the seals. Additionally, the CXDALZV utilizes Sun\u2019s floating style construction which reduces risks of internal parts binding due to variations in installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining. Weighing only about 0.20 lb (0.10 kg), this model is also advantageous for systems where component weight is a concern. The CXDALZV is ideal for applications requiring robust performance in controlling fluid direction under varying pressures and conditions.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
