The Sun Hydraulics CXJAXDV (CXJAXDV) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic systems requiring reliable, one-way flow control. This model facilitates free flow from inlet port 1 to outlet port 2 while effectively blocking flow in the reverse direction, ensuring operational integrity and safety in various applications. Engineered for minimal leakage, the CXJAXDV boasts an impressively low maximum leakage rate of less than one drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), making it ideal for systems where fluid conservation and cleanliness are critical. Rated to handle up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports, this valve can accommodate high-pressure applications across a range of hydraulic functions. The CXJAXDV is built using Sun Hydraulics' floating style construction which minimizes the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining, enhancing its reliability and lifespan. This model is available with EPDM seals specifically for use with phosphate ester fluids; however, it is crucial to avoid exposure to petroleum-based fluids, greases, and lubricants as they can damage the seals. For environments prone to corrosion, cartridges configured with AP or LH model code suffixes are recommended due to their enhanced corrosion resistance. With a maximum capacity of 160 gpm (610 L/min), the CXJAXDV can handle substantial flow rates making it suitable for a variety of demanding applications. Additional technical specifications include a valve hex size of 1 5/8 inches (41.3 mm) and an installation torque requirement between 350 - 375 lbf\u00b7ft (474 - 508 Nm). Weighing at approximately 2.10 lbs (0.95 kg), this valve integrates seamlessly into existing systems without significant weight implications.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

  • Two-port check valves share the same cavity for a given frame size, however, pay close attention as flow paths may be in opposite directions.
  • Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
  • Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
  • Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
  • Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
