The Sun Hydraulics CXKAXBN (CXKAXBN) is a direct-acting, free-flow, nose-to-side check valve designed for hydraulic applications that require unidirectional flow control. This model is optimized for use in Sun's T18A cavity but achieves full capacity when installed in the T18AU cavity. It has a notable flow capacity of up to 240 gpm (900 L/min) and can withstand a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve exhibits superior performance with an extremely low leakage rate, less than 1 drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), ensuring efficient and reliable operation. The CXKAXBN valve incorporates Sun's floating style construction which reduces the risk of internal parts binding due to improper installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This feature enhances the durability and lifespan of the valve under various operational conditions. The cartridge is corrosion-resistant, suitable for use in environments where corrosive elements are present, further extending its usability and reliability. For systems utilizing phosphate ester fluids, cartridges configured with EPDM seals are recommended; however, these should not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids as they could damage the seals. Each valve measures 1 5/8 inches (41.3 mm) across flats and requires an installation torque between 350 – 375 lbf·ft (474 – 508 Nm). The model weighs approximately 2.10 lbs (0.95 kg), making it robust yet manageable for installation and maintenance activities.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

• These valves will work in Sun's standard T-18A cavity at lower capacity. To realize the full stated capacity, the T-18AU cavity should be used.
• Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
• Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
• Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
• Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
• Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
