The Sun Hydraulics CXKAXCV (CXKAXCV) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic systems requiring reliable, unidirectional flow control and minimal leakage. The CXKAXCV operates efficiently within the T18A cavity, though for optimal performance reaching up to 240 gpm (900 L/min), the T18AU cavity should be utilized. This model is capable of handling maximum operating pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both ports 1 and 2. Constructed with durability in mind, the CXKAXCV incorporates Sun's floating style construction which prevents internal parts from binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This feature significantly enhances the valve's reliability and lifespan under various operational conditions. The valve also features extremely low leakage rates, not exceeding 1 drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), ensuring efficient system operation with minimal fluid loss. For systems using phosphate ester fluids, cartridges configured with EPDM seals are recommended as they are specifically designed to resist damage from these types of fluids. However, exposure to petroleum-based fluids should be avoided with these seals as they can cause deterioration. The model is also available in corrosion-resistant configurations (suffix AP or LH), making it suitable for use in corrosive environments. Installation requires a torque between 350 - 375 lbf ft (474 - 508 Nm), and the valve's hex size is 1 5/8 inches (41.3 mm). The overall weight of the model is approximately 2.10 lbs (0.95 kg), facilitating easy handling and installation without compromising robustness or performance.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.
- These valves will work in Sun's standard T-18A cavity at lower capacity. To realize the full stated capacity, the T-18AU cavity should be used.
- Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
- Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
- Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
- Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
