The Sun Hydraulics CXKAXEV (CXKAXEV) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic applications requiring reliable, one-way flow control. Engineered for use in standard T18A cavities, the valve achieves optimal performance in the T18AU cavity, supporting a flow capacity up to 240 gpm (900 L/min) and withstanding maximum operating pressures of 5000 psi (350 bar). The CXKAXEV features extremely low leakage rates, maintaining less than 1 drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), ensuring efficient and precise operation in critical environments. Constructed with durability and resistance in mind, this valve incorporates Sun\u2019s floating style construction which helps prevent internal parts from binding due to variations in installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining. This design enhances the valve's operational longevity and reliability. For applications involving corrosive environments, specific model configurations such as those ending in AP or LH are recommended due to their enhanced corrosion-resistant properties. Additionally, the CXKAXEV is equipped with EPDM seals configured specifically for systems using phosphate ester fluids; however, it is critical to avoid exposure to petroleum-based fluids as they can damage these seals. With a robust design capable of handling severe operational demands and environmental conditions, this check valve is an essential component for any hydraulic system requiring precise fluid control and minimal leakage.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.
- These valves will work in Sun's standard T-18A cavity at lower capacity. To realize the full stated capacity, the T-18AU cavity should be used.
- Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
- Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
- Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
- Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
