The Sun Hydraulics DAAHDCV (DAAHDCV) is a pilot-stage, directional, 2-position, 2-way hydraulic valve designed for precise control in hydraulic systems. This valve features a spring-return mechanism and is available in both normally open or normally closed configurations, catering to diverse operational requirements. It is specifically engineered to fit the Sun T8A cavity, ensuring compatibility with Sun's pilot-operated mainstage valves which simplifies system design by reducing the need for separate pilot lines and minimizing the number of cavities that need to be machined. The DAAHDCV valve supports a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) across all ports, including the pilot control port. It offers a flow capacity of approximately 0.25 gpm (1 L/min) and maintains tight control over leakage with a maximum rate of 5 drops per minute at 110 SUS (24 cSt). Installation requires precise torque values, with the main stage valve needing installation first followed by the T8A pilot control section. This valve utilizes hardened spool and sleeve components to deliver consistent operation, low leakage rates, and superior wear characteristics. The minimum pilot pressure required to operate this valve ranges from 85 to 200 psi or equivalently from 6 to 14 bar based on a specific calculation formula provided by Sun Hydraulics. These pilot-stage, directional, 2-position, 2-way valves are hydraulically operated, spring-return cartridges and are available in either a normally open or normally closed configuration. These cartridges are designed for pilot flow applications and utilize Sun's T-8A cavity so they can be used in conjunction with Sun's pilot-operated, main-stage valves.

  • Utilizes the Sun T-8A 2-port cavity making it the ideal choice to use in conjunction with Sun's main stage pilot or vent-to-operate cartridges. Separate pilot lines are eliminated and only one cavity needs to be machined to accommodate both the control and primary function. Note: All 2-position, 2-way pilot stage control cartridges utilize the same cavity and are physically interchangeable. Functionality is the only consideration.
  • Note: The main stage valve should first be installed to the correct torque value followed by the T-8A pilot control section into the main stage valve to its required torque value.
