The Sun Hydraulics DBAHACV (DBAHACV) is a pilot-stage, directional, 2-position, 3-way valve designed for hydraulic operations with a spring-return mechanism. These cartridges are engineered specifically for pilot flow applications and are available in two spool configurations: normally open from port 1 to port 2 and normally open from port 1 to port 3. The valve supports a maximum operating pressure of up to 5000 psi (350 bar) across all ports, including the pilot control port. Constructed with a hardened spool and sleeve, the DBAHACV ensures consistent operation, low spool leakage rates, and superior wear characteristics which enhance its durability and reliability in various operational conditions. The minimum pilot pressure required for operation is calculated based on the pressure at Port 1 with a formula that results in a range of 85 to 200 psi or equivalently 6 to 14 bar in metric units. This model incorporates Sun's floating style construction which minimizes potential internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. It features a T9A cavity, belongs to the P series, and has a flow capacity of .25 gpm (1 L/min). The valve\u2019s hex size is designed at 7/8 inch (22.2 mm), with an installation torque requirement of between 20 - 25 lbf ft (27 -33 Nm). Leakage specifications are rated at maximum valve leakage of about ten drops per minute at both maximum operating pressure units of psi and bar. For seal considerations, the cartridge uses Viton material designated by part number: 990509006.
