The Sun Hydraulics DBAHDCN (DBAHDCN) is a high-performance hydraulic valve designed for precise pilot flow applications in various hydraulic systems. This model features a pilot-stage, directional, 2-position, 3-way configuration with options for normally open connections from port 1 to port 2 and from port 1 to port 3. The valve is constructed using a hardened spool and sleeve which ensures consistent operation with low spool leakage rates and superior wear resistance, enhancing the longevity and reliability of the system. The DBAHDCN operates within a pilot pressure range of 85 to 200 psi or 6 to 14 bar, calculated by the formula: pilot pressure = 85 psi + (pressure at Port 1 x .023). This specific range makes it versatile for various industrial applications requiring precise control. Additionally, all ports on this valve are capable of handling up to 5000 psi (350 bar), including the pilot control port, which can be customized based on different control options available. This model also incorporates Sun\u2019s floating style construction that minimizes internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. With a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) and a flow capacity of .25 gpm (1 L/min), the DBAHDCN ensures efficient performance under demanding conditions. The valve's leakage rate is maintained at about 10 drops per minute at maximum operating pressure, ensuring efficient system operation with minimal fluid loss. Designed for easy installation with a hex size of 7/8 in. (22.2 mm) and an installation torque requirement between 20 -25 lbf ft (27 -33 Nm), this valve integrates seamlessly into existing systems. It also supports Viton seal kits for enhanced durability and chemical resistance in diverse environments. Overall, the Sun Hydraulics DBAHDCN offers robust performance and reliability for specialized hydraulic applications where precise pilot flow control is essential.

These pilot-stage, directional, 2-position, 3-way valves are hydraulically operated, spring-return cartridges and are available in two spool configurations; normally open 1 to 2 and normally open 1 to 3. These cartridges are designed for pilot flow applications.

  • Different pilot control port options are available. See Option Selection for details.
  • All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) including the pilot control port.
  • Hardened spool and sleeve provide consistent operation, low spool leakage rates and superior wear characteristics.
  • The minimum pilot pressure required to operate the valve is determined by the following formula: pilot pressure = 85 psi + pressure @ Port 1 times .023. This results in a pilot pressure range of 85 to 200 psi. In metric; pilot pressure = 6 bar + pressure @ Port 1 times 0,023. This results in a pilot pressure of 6 to 14 bar.
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
