The Sun Hydraulics DKDPCAN (DKDPCAN) is a high-performance hydraulic valve specifically designed for robust fluid power applications. This normally closed, balanced poppet valve operates as a switching element with a unique construction that ensures predictable switching and stable performance under high pressure up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. The valve features an integral pilot relief stage that allows the poppet to shift to the open position once the pilot pressure at port 3 exceeds a pre-set threshold. The DKDPCAN valve is engineered to handle a maximum flow capacity of 15 gpm (60 L/min), with minimal leakage between ports, typically less than 10 drops/min at its maximum operating pressure. It is built to accommodate backpressure at the drain port, which is directly additive to the valve setting, ensuring reliable operation even under varying pressure conditions. The reseating of the valve occurs when the pilot pressure drops to 85% of the cracking value, enhancing its operational reliability. Designed with Sun's floating style construction, this valve minimizes potential internal parts binding which could result from excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. This feature ensures longevity and consistent performance in demanding environments. The DKDPCAN is suitable for applications requiring precise control over fluid handling and pressure management in hydraulic systems, making it an essential component for industrial machinery where hydraulic control is critical.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.
- Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
- Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
- Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
- Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
- Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
- All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
