The Sun Hydraulics DKDPCCV (DKDPCCV) is a precision-engineered hydraulic valve designed for high-pressure applications, featuring a normally closed, balanced poppet switching element. This valve operates uniquely by maintaining the poppet in a closed position until pilot pressure applied at port 3 reaches a preset relief stage, upon which it shifts to an open state. This mechanism ensures predictable and stable switching capabilities under pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. The DKDPCCV includes an integral pilot relief stage that allows the valve to open only when the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds an internal setting. The design also compensates for any backpressure at the drain port by adding it directly to the valve setting, ensuring accurate performance under varying conditions. Once the pilot pressure decreases to 85% of the cracking value, the valve reseats itself, enhancing operational reliability. Furthermore, this model boasts extremely low leakage rates between port 1 and port 2\u2014less than 10 drops per minute at maximum pressure\u2014thanks to its tight seal construction. All ports can withstand up to 5000 psi (350 bar), and the valve's floating style construction minimizes potential internal part binding caused by excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. Key specifications include a T21A cavity, Series 1 classification, and a flow capacity of up to 15 gpm (60 L/min). The minimum pilot pressure required to shift the valve is set at around 400 psi (28 bar), with maximum operating pressure capabilities reaching up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The DKDPCCV is equipped with various adjustment features including an internal hex size screw and locknut torque settings for precise control and maintenance ease.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.
- Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
- Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
- Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
- Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
- Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
- All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
