The Sun Hydraulics DKDPCDN (DKDPCDN) is a high-performance, normally closed hydraulic valve designed for precise fluid control in various applications. This model features a balanced poppet switching element that remains closed until pilot pressure at port 3 reaches a pre-set threshold, determined by an integral pilot relief stage, which then allows the poppet to shift to an open position. The valve's unique construction ensures predictable switching and high durability under pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. The DKDPCDN incorporates Sun's floating style construction which minimizes the risk of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This feature enhances the reliability and longevity of the valve in demanding operational conditions. The valve is designed to reseat when pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value, ensuring efficient operation and leakage control\u2014typically less than 10 drops/min at maximum pressure. This model is compatible with a T21A cavity and belongs to Series 1. It can handle a capacity of up to 15 gpm (60 L/min) and requires a minimum pilot pressure of 400 psi (28 bar) for shifting. The maximum operating pressure capability is 5000 psi (350 bar), making it suitable for robust applications requiring precise control over hydraulic flow. The design ensures that ports 1 and 2 are fully sealed from ports 3 and 4, maintaining system integrity and preventing cross-contamination between channels. Overall, the Sun Hydraulics DKDPCDN valve offers superior performance for systems requiring reliable, high-pressure operation with minimal leakage and precise control over fluid dynamics.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.
- Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
- Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
- Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
- Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
- Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
- All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
