The Sun Hydraulics DKDPKWN (DKDPKWN) is a high-performance hydraulic valve designed for robust fluid control in advanced hydraulic systems. This model is characterized by its normally closed, balanced poppet configuration which ensures reliable switching behavior under high-pressure conditions up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve operates by maintaining the poppet in a closed position until pilot pressure at port 3 reaches a predefined threshold set by an integral pilot relief stage, prompting the poppet to shift to an open state. This valve features unique balanced construction which not only provides predictable switching but also allows for consistent operation at equal pressures of 5000 psi at both port 1 and port 2. It includes a specific mechanism where any backpressure at the drain port directly adds to the valve setting, enhancing its operational reliability. The reseating of the valve occurs when pilot pressure decreases to 85% of the cracking value, ensuring efficient performance and preventing fluid leakage. Designed with precision, the DKDPKWN offers minimal leakage between port 1 and port 2, typically less than 10 drops/min at maximum operating pressure, which corresponds to about 0.7 cc/min at 350 bar. It incorporates Sun\u2019s floating style construction which minimizes potential internal part binding due to installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. The valve's robust design is complemented by its compatibility with a T21A cavity and adherence to Series 1 specifications. It has a capacity of handling up to 15 gpm (60 L/min) and requires a minimum pilot pressure of 400 psi (28 bar) to shift effectively. This model is specifically engineered to ensure high performance in demanding applications where precise hydraulic control and reliability are paramount.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.
- Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
- Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
- Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
- Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
- Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
- All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
