The Sun Hydraulics DKDPKWV (DKDPKWV) is a high-performance hydraulic switching element designed for precision control in fluid power applications. This model features a normally closed, balanced poppet configuration that ensures stable operation under varying pressure conditions. The valve operates by maintaining the poppet in a closed position until pilot pressure at port 3 reaches a pre-set threshold determined by an integral pilot relief stage, at which point it shifts to an open state allowing fluid flow. With its unique balanced construction, the DKDPKWV offers predictable switching behavior and can handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. The design also includes provisions for minimal leakage, typically less than 10 drops per minute at maximum pressure, ensuring efficient system performance with reduced fluid loss. Additionally, any backpressure at the drain port directly adds to the valve setting, enhancing operational reliability. The valve is designed to reseat when pilot pressure decreases to 85% of the cracking value, providing a secure shut-off mechanism. All ports on this model are robustly sealed to prevent cross-port contamination and leakage. The DKDPKWV incorporates Sun\u2019s floating style construction which minimizes risks of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. This model is suitable for systems requiring precise control of fluid handling with high-pressure capabilities and low leakage rates. Its robust design ensures long-term reliability and performance in demanding applications.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.
- Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
- Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
- Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
- Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
- Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
- All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
