The Sun Hydraulics DKDPLCV (DKDPLCV) is a high-performance hydraulic valve designed for precise control in fluid power applications. This model is a normally closed, balanced poppet valve, which operates as a switching element with an integral pilot relief stage that dictates its opening. The valve maintains closure until the pilot pressure at port 3 reaches a pre-set threshold, causing the poppet to shift to an open position, allowing fluid flow between ports. Engineered for robustness and reliability, the DKDPLCV can handle up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. It features unique balanced construction ensuring predictable switching under varying pressures. The design also minimizes leakage between these ports to less than 10 drops per minute at maximum pressure, which is crucial for maintaining system efficiency and performance. The valve's construction incorporates Sun's floating style design which helps prevent internal parts from binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This feature enhances the longevity and reliability of the valve in demanding operational conditions. Additionally, any backpressure at the drain port directly adds to the valve setting, offering more control and stability in system pressure management. For installation and maintenance ease, it comes with specific requirements such as a valve hex size of 7/8 in. (22.2 mm), an installation torque between 30 \u2013 35 lbf ft (41 \u2013 47 Nm), and uses Viton seals for enhanced durability against high temperatures and chemical degradation. The DKDPLCV is designed to fit a T21A cavity and supports a maximum flow capacity of 15 gpm (60 L/min), making it suitable for various hydraulic applications where precise fluid control is essential.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.

  • Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
  • Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
  • Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
  • Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
  • Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
  • All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
