The Sun Hydraulics DKDPLDN (DKDPLDN) is a high-performance hydraulic valve designed for robust fluid control in various applications. This normally closed, balanced poppet switching element operates with a unique construction that ensures predictable switching behavior under high pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. The valve features an integral pilot relief stage, which allows the poppet to shift to the open position when pilot pressure at port 3 surpasses a pre-set value. The DKDPLDN valve is engineered to handle a maximum flow capacity of 15 gpm (60 L/min) and requires a minimum pilot pressure of 400 psi (28 bar) to initiate shifting. It boasts very low leakage rates between port 1 and port 2, typically less than 10 drops/min at maximum operating pressure, ensuring efficient operation and minimal fluid loss. Each port on the valve can withstand pressures up to 5000 psi, accommodating versatile application requirements. Additionally, the valve's construction includes Sun's floating style design which minimizes internal part binding that could result from excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. This feature enhances the reliability and longevity of the valve in demanding operational conditions. The DKDPLDN also incorporates several maintenance-friendly features such as an easily accessible adjustment screw, standardized hex sizes for installation, and Viton seals for enhanced durability against fluid corrosiveness and temperature variations.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.

  • Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
  • Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
  • Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
  • Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
  • Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
  • All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
