The Sun Hydraulics DKDPLDV (DKDPLDV) is a high-performance hydraulic valve engineered for precise fluid control in various applications. This model is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element designed to operate effectively under high pressure conditions up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The valve features an integral pilot relief stage which allows the poppet to shift to the open position once the pilot pressure at port 3 exceeds a pre-set threshold. This enables predictable switching and enhances operational reliability. The DKDPLDV valve is distinguished by its unique balanced construction that ensures stable performance across both port 1 and port 2, even under maximum pressure. It includes four ports where ports 1 and 2 are fully isolated from ports 3 and 4, which are positively sealed. This configuration minimizes leakage between port 1 and port 2, typically less than 10 drops per minute at maximum pressure. Furthermore, any backpressure at the drain port directly adds to the valve setting, allowing for fine-tuned control based on varying system pressures. The valve will automatically reseat when pilot pressure drops to approximately 85% of the cracking value, ensuring efficient operation and preventing system overloads. Designed with Sun's floating style construction, the DKDPLDV minimizes internal parts binding which could arise from excessive installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining variations. It supports a flow capacity of up to 15 gpm (60 L/min) and requires a minimum pilot pressure of 400 psi (28 bar) to shift effectively. With robust sealing provided by Viton components, this valve maintains integrity and performance in demanding industrial environments.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.

  • Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
  • Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
  • Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
  • Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
  • Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
  • All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
