The Sun Hydraulics DKFPCWV (DKFPCWV) is a high-performance hydraulic valve designed for precision control in fluid power applications. This normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element operates effectively under a maximum pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar) across all its ports. The valve features an integral pilot relief stage which allows the poppet to shift to an open position once the pilot pressure at port 3 surpasses a predefined threshold. It ensures reliable operation with a very low leakage rate between port 1 and port 2, typically less than 10 drops per minute at maximum pressure. The DKFPCWV is engineered to handle up to 30 gpm (120 L/min) of fluid capacity and requires a minimum pilot pressure of 300 psi (20 bar) to initiate the valve shift. Its robust design includes Sun\u2019s floating style construction which minimizes internal part binding due to installation torque or machining variations in the cavity/cartridge. Additionally, any backpressure at the drain port influences the valve setting directly, adding to its operational versatility. This model is equipped with a T22A cavity and belongs to the Series 2 line of Sun Hydraulics products. Important specifications include a maximum operating pressure of 5000 psi (350 bar), and it can accommodate control pilot flows as detailed in performance data charts provided by Sun Hydraulics. The valve's hex size is 1-1/8 inches (28.6 mm), with an installation torque between 45-50 lbf-ft (61-68 Nm). For maintenance or adjustments, it features an internal hex size on the adjustment screw of 5/32 inches (4 mm) and uses a locknut hex size of 9/16 inches (15 mm), requiring an adjustment torque of 80-90 lbf-in (9-10 Nm).

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.
- Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
- Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
- Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
- Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
- Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
- All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
