The Sun Hydraulics DKFPLAN (DKFPLAN) is a high-performance, normally closed, balanced poppet switching element designed for hydraulic systems. This valve operates under a unique balanced construction that ensures predictable switching and high-pressure tolerance up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. The valve shifts to the open position when the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal setting, allowing for precise control based on pilot pressure which needs to reach at least 300 psi (20 bar) to shift the valve. The DKFPLAN features an integral pilot relief stage that maintains the poppet in the closed position until pilot pressure reaches a predefined threshold. Any backpressure at the drain port directly adds to the valve setting, ensuring reliable operation under varying conditions. The reseating of the valve occurs when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of its cracking value, providing a fail-safe mechanism. Designed for robustness and durability, this model incorporates Sun's floating style construction which minimizes potential internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. It has an extremely low leakage rate between ports 1 and 2, typically less than 10 drops/min at 5000 psi or 0.7 cc/min at 350 bar, ensuring efficient system performance with minimal fluid loss. The DKFPLAN is housed within a T22A cavity and belongs to Series 2. It can handle up to 30 gpm (120 L/min) capacity and all its ports can accept pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar). The cartridge also features Viton seals for enhanced durability and resistance against various fluids. This model is specifically tailored for applications requiring precise control over hydraulic flow with reliable high-pressure performance.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.

  • Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
  • Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
  • Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
  • Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
  • Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
  • All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
  • Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
