The Sun Hydraulics DKFPLWV (DKFPLWV) is a sophisticated hydraulic valve designed for high-pressure applications, capable of handling up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at port 1 and port 2. This normally closed, balanced poppet switching element operates by maintaining the poppet in a closed position until pilot pressure applied at port 3 reaches a pre-set threshold determined by an integral pilot relief stage, causing the poppet to shift to an open position. The unique balanced construction of the valve ensures predictable switching performance. The DKFPLWV features a minimal leakage rate between port 1 and port 2, typically less than 10 drops/min at 5000 psi (0.7 cc/min at 350 bar), which is crucial for maintaining system efficiency and reducing fluid loss. All ports on the valve can withstand pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar), making it suitable for various demanding hydraulic circuits. Additionally, the valve incorporates Sun\u2019s floating style construction which minimizes potential internal parts binding that could result from excessive installation torque or variations in cavity/cartridge machining. This design enhancement contributes to the reliability and longevity of the valve in industrial applications. The valve's specifications include a T22A cavity, Series 2 classification, and a capacity of up to 30 gpm (120 L/min). It requires a minimum pilot pressure of 300 psi (20 bar) to shift, ensuring responsive operation under varied pressure conditions. The maximum operating pressure capacity stands at 5000 psi (350 bar), with specific installation and adjustment details provided for optimal usage including torque settings and hex sizes for various components such as the adjustment screw and locknut.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.
- Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
- Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
- Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
- Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
- Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
- All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
