The Sun Hydraulics DKHPLAN (DKHPLAN) is a high-performance hydraulic valve designed for advanced fluid power applications. This model is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element that operates effectively under high pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. The valve features an integral pilot relief stage that allows the poppet to shift to the open position once the pilot pressure at port 3 exceeds a pre-set threshold. This unique construction ensures predictable switching and maintains low leakage rates, typically less than 10 drops/min at maximum pressure. The DKHPLAN valve is engineered with Sun's floating style construction which minimizes internal parts binding, enhancing reliability and performance consistency even in installations with varying cavity or cartridge machining. All ports on this valve can withstand pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar), making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications requiring precise hydraulic control. Additionally, the valve has a capacity of 60 gpm (240 L/min) and requires a minimum pilot pressure of 300 psi (20 bar) to initiate shifting. It is designed to accommodate control pilot flows as specified in its performance data, ensuring efficient operation across different system demands. The model also includes specific installation requirements such as an adjustment screw internal hex size of 5/32 in., a locknut hex size of 9/16 in., and recommended torque settings for optimal performance and safety. With its robust design and precise control capabilities, the Sun Hydraulics DKHPLAN offers reliable performance for hydraulic systems requiring efficient flow management under variable pressure conditions.

This is a normally closed, balanced poppet, switching element. When pilot pressure is applied to port 3, the poppet remains closed until the pilot pressure reaches the setting established by the integral pilot relief stage, at which point the poppet shifts to the open position.
- Unique balanced construction provides predictable switching with 5000 psi (350 bar) at both port 1 and port 2. When the remote pressure signal at port 3 exceeds the internal valve setting, the valve shifts to the open position.
- Any backpressure at the drain port is directly additive to the valve setting.
- Valve will reseat when the pilot pressure falls to 85% of the cracking value.
- Port 1 and port 2 are fully sealed from port 3 and port 4. Ports 3 and 4 are positively sealed.
- Leakage rate between port 1 and port 2 is very low, typically less than 10 drops/min. at 5000 psi (0,7 cc/min at 350 bar).
- All ports will accept 5000 psi (350 bar).
- Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
